The Single Shot Fixed Magazine Device drops in from the top of your lower receiver when the action is disassembled.

For most rifles, this just means that you need to disengage the rear takedown pin and "shotgun" the upper receiver forward on the front takedown pin.  This single shot magazine sled cannot be removed or inserted unless the action is disassembled in that fashion.
